A Couple Died of Food Poison in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has reported the death of a couple who died of food poison in George Ama community in Okrika Local Government Area.

The Couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Iworima Thomas were found dead in their sitting room with a plate of food suspected to have been poisoned.

The State Police Spokesperson Angela Agaby who spoke to the reporters said the corpses of the couple have been deposited at Kpaima mortuary for autopsy.

The police official also said the remains of the food eaten by the dead persons have been removed for medical analysis of food poisoning.
